The present policy for the protection of Personal Data (hereafter “policy”) is intended to provide information related to the processing of your Personal Data by the anonymous industrial and commercial optical corporation with the name Bairamoglou S.A. (hereafter “Bairamoglou” or “We” or “Us” or “Our”). Through our website https://essilor.gr/en and through our call center communication we collect Personal Data relevant to our users/visitors, existing or potential customers. The forementioned third parties have agreed and are contractually binded with us and have undergone a confidentiality obligation and lawful processing so as to process data for the agreed purpose.

The Personal Data collected from you can also be transferred to third parties in case of the sale, assignment or transfer of the activities of this website or part of it and the data of users that are related with it. In which case we will demand from the buyer, the excipient or the recipient to process your Personal Data with this policy. Furthermore, your Personal Data will be made known to third parties if we are asked to do so based on applicable laws, presidential decree or regulation or if it is mandatory for the support of any criminal or other legal research or progress in Greece or abroad.

 

Period of Personal Data acquisition

Bairamoglou maintains your Personal Data in a physical or electronic file for the duration of our relationship and for the time required to service you and to complete the liabilities that derive from the tax, communal and remaining laws, effective during that period, including the law regarding Personal Data. After the completion of the forementioned obligations, your data will be permanently deleted in a safe way without any possibility of recovery.

If you became aware that the Personal Data that we maintain relative to you are inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, not relevant or obsolete, you have the right to access, revise, update and/or correct them. Furthermore, you can reject or request to limit the processing of your Personal Data, if the processing is not justifiably from the reasons described in the current policy or relative to the national and communal legislation. In the event that the Personal Data are not necessary for the above processing objectives, you can request their delete from our database.

We will try to offer the requested information or to perform the necessary change in the degree that it is allowed by the existing laws relative to data protection. In any case, we will revert to you within thirty (30) days and we will inform you about the outcome of your request. In the event that your request is complex or there is a large number of requests from your side, we will inform you within the month if we will require an extension of two (2) months within which we will reply to you.

Data transfer abroad

Your Personal Data are subject to storage and processing only within the European Union. In the even to transfer of Personal Data outside of Greece and/or outside of the European Union, to third countries (outside EU/EEA), Bairamoglou commits that it will ensure the level of data protection relevant to that offered within the European Union, by agreeing with the recipients at the third countries the contractual agreement clauses that have been approved by the European Commission and apply to third country transfers.

 

Information security

Bairamoglou uses the appropriate management, technical and physical security measures related to its personnel for the completion of commercial and noncommercial objectives. These measures aim at securing your Personal Data to avoid any unauthorized or illicit data processing. Therefore, any processing of your data is allowed only by persons authorized from us (through the members area, use of personal codes etc), such as employees and affiliates with whom we have a contractual relationship and only for the above-mentioned reasons and which have agreed to maintain confidentiality and protect your Personal Data.  

However, despite of the forementioned security measures we cannot guarantee the absolute safety of networks, servers and databases that we or third parties operate on our behalf. More specifically, our website is not designed for children nor is it addressed for children below the age of 15 years.
